Northern Pasta Co. British Spelt Fusilli

Spiralled, bronze-rough and nutty, British spelt turned into a pasta that holds sauce the way it should.

A 450g bag of fusilli from Northern Pasta Co. in Cumbria, made from their signature blend of regeneratively grown British spelt and wheat semolina.

Small-batch extruded through traditional bronze dies, then slow-dried at low temperatures, a process that takes a day rather than an hour; the flavour deepens and the texture stays ragged rather than glossy.

Finish it in a good tomato ragù, a brown butter with sage, or a pesto, as spelt carries nuttiness of its own, so the sauce doesn't need to do all the talking.

Proof that British pasta can be a considered thing rather than a cupboard afterthought.

Delivery

Because we send food and drink, we keep transit times short and never let parcels sit in depots over the weekend. All orders are dispatched Monday to Thursday and delivered next day via DPD or APC Overnight, depending on contents.

Non-liquid orders travel with DPD and include a one-hour delivery window, so you know exactly when to expect your parcel. Orders containing wine, spirits or other liquids are sent via APC Overnight's specialist liquid service, where parcels are hand-sorted and kept in dedicated cages throughout transit.

Order by 12pm (midday) for next-day delivery. Orders placed after midday on Thursday, or over the weekend, are dispatched the following Monday. We do not deliver on Saturdays or Sundays.

Returns

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging, and affected item as received.

Please keep all packaging until we have reviewed the issue, as we may be unable to assess damage claims where the item or packaging has been discarded.
