How We Use Your Personal Information

Depending on how you interact with us or which of the Services you use, we may use personal information for the following purposes, relying on the lawful bases set out below:

  • To provide, tailor and improve the Services. We use your personal information to perform our contract with you: to process your payments, fulfil your orders, remember your preferences, send notifications related to your account, process purchases, returns, exchanges and other transactions, create and manage your account, arrange shipping, facilitate returns and exchanges, enable you to post reviews, and create a customised shopping experience such as recommending related products. Age-Restricted Products and Age Verification

We sell alcohol and other age-restricted products. It is an offence to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18, and we operate a Challenge 25 policy. By placing an order for age-restricted products, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over. We may process information to verify your age at the point of purchase and require proof of age on delivery, and our couriers may refuse delivery where age cannot be satisfactorily confirmed. We do not knowingly sell age-restricted products to anyone under 18.

How We Disclose Personal Information

In certain circumstances we may disclose your personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy. These circumstances may include:

  • With Shopify, vendors and other third parties who perform services on our behalf (for example IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfilment and shipping).
  • With business and marketing partners, including Meta and Google, to provide marketing services and advertise to you where you have consented. These partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices.
  • When you direct, request or otherwise consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties, such as to ship you products or through your use of social media or login integrations.
  • With our affiliates or otherwise within our corporate group.
  • In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or insolvency; to comply with applicable legal obligations (including responding to court orders and similar requests); to enforce our terms or policies; and to protect or defend the Services, our rights and the rights of our users or others.

Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify, as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide and improve the Services. To help protect, grow and improve our business, we also use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data obtained from your interactions with our store, along with other merchants and with Shopify. In these circumstances Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information. To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal information and any rights you may have, please see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and (with your consent) to deliver and measure advertising through Meta and Google. Non-essential cookies, including those used for analytics and advertising, are only set where you have given consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie settings on our website. For more detail, please see our separate Cookie Policy where provided.

Third Party Websites and Links

The Services may provide links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties. If you follow links to sites not affiliated with or controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms and conditions. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of these sites, including the accuracy, completeness or reliability of their information. Information you provide on public or semi-public forums may be viewable by others without limitation as to its use. Our inclusion of such links does not imply endorsement.

Children's Data

The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under the age of 18. As noted above, we do not knowingly sell age-restricted products to anyone under 18. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, please contact us using the details below to request that it be deleted.

Security and Retention of Your Information

Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee perfect security. Any information you send to us may not be secure while in transit, and we recommend you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us.

How long we retain your personal information depends on factors such as whether we need it to maintain your account, provide you with the Services, comply with legal obligations (including tax, accounting and the records we must keep in relation to the sale of alcohol), resolve disputes, or enforce other applicable contracts and policies.

Your Rights and Choices

Under UK data protection law, and subject to certain exceptions and limitations, you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

  • Right of access — to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to erasure — to request that we delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to data portability — to receive a copy of your personal information and, in certain circumstances, to have it transferred to a third party.
  • Right to object and to restrict processing — to ask us to stop or restrict our processing of your personal information for certain purposes, including direct marketing.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Managing communication preferences. We may send you promotional emails where you have consented. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional messages, such as those about your account or orders you have made.

You may exercise any of these rights by contacting us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request, and you may appoint an authorised agent to act on your behalf, in which case we will require proof of their authority. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Complaints

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at https://ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

International Transfers

We are a UK business and primarily store and process your personal information in the UK. Some of our service providers, including Shopify, may store or process your personal information outside the UK. Where we transfer personal information out of the UK, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfers to countries the UK has determined provide an adequate level of protection.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on this website, update the "Last updated" date, and provide notice as required by applicable law.
