Village Maid Cheese

In May 1986 Anne Wigmore set up Village Maid in a garden outbuilding at Spencers Wood, near Reading, after ten years at the National Institute for Research in Dairying. The dairy moved to Riseley in Berkshire in 1991, and her son Jake joined in 2017. The cheeses are made by hand there from ewe's milk and Guernsey cow's milk.
