Wilton Porridge Oats 500g

A 500g bag of porridge oats from Wilton Wholefoods, packed just outside Salisbury, Wiltshire, where the firm sells grains, pulses, dried fruit and baking goods with nothing added or taken away.

The ingredient list is one line: 100% oats. These are rolled oats milled in the UK, the medium flake that cooks into a porridge with some texture rather than a paste, and the same flake goes into flapjacks, crumble toppings and oat biscuits. Plain oats taste of very little on their own, which is the point; they carry whatever you put with them.

For porridge, use one part oats to two or three parts milk or water, stir over a low heat for a few minutes and add a pinch of salt. Finish it with a spoon of Tregothnan Manuka Honey and sliced banana, or a spoon of Tiptree Rhubarb with Ginger Conserve. For overnight oats, soak them in milk or yoghurt in the fridge with a splash of Belvoir Blueberry & Blackcurrant Cordial. They also make a flapjack with butter and golden syrup.

Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
