Tregothnan Manuka Honey

A 113g jar of raw, unpasteurised Manuka honey from hives on the Tregothnan estate at Tresillian, near Truro in Cornwall, where the honey is taken off in small batches and never heated. Manuka bushes have grown on the estate since the 1880s, the first planted outside New Zealand, and the same Leptospermum flowers that feed those bees are what gives this honey its name.

This is a floral Manuka rather than a dark one. The estate describes it as capturing the summer bloom and the richness of the Leptospermum flower, and the jar holds honey and nothing else: no blending with other honeys, no heat treatment, no additives. It took a First Class award at the Royal Cornwall Show in 2025. Because it is raw it may set in the jar over time; standing it in warm water loosens it again.

Eat it as you would any good single-flower honey. Spoon it over thick yoghurt or porridge, trail it across hot buttered toast, or stir a teaspoon into a herbal infusion in place of sugar. It also earns a place on the cheeseboard: a little beside a wedge of Quicke's Mature Clothbound Cheddar or a slice of Rosary Ash Goat's Cheese Log, where sweetness against salt does most of the work.

The 113g jar is small, which suits a honey this scarce. No allergens are declared. Keep it at room temperature, out of direct sunlight; honey does not need the fridge.

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
