Light, floral and golden, not the dark and earthy Manuka of New Zealand, but something quieter, shaped by a Cornish estuary rather than the South Pacific.
A 113g jar of single-origin Manuka honey from the Tregothnan Estate in Cornwall, the only place in the world outside New Zealand to produce it.
The Boscawen family introduced Manuka bushes from New Zealand in the 1880s, and they have flowered on the estate every summer since; the bees forage on the walled garden plantings, and the honey is carefully separated from the multi-floral top layer of the hive.
Spoon straight from the jar, fold into warm yoghurt, or drizzle over a good aged cheese.
One of the rarest English honeys you can buy.
