The London Honey Co. British Kent Beach Honey 250g

A 250g jar of single-origin honey from the Kent coast, made by The London Honey Co. of Bermondsey in Greater London. The company has kept its own bees since 1999 and sells its honey unpasteurised and minimally filtered, never blended.

The producer says the bees for this one visit the bramble, viper's bugloss and wild wood sage that grow on the vast flint beaches of Kent. It describes the result as an unusual honey with notes of verdant herbs, delicate and complex. The jar contains honey and nothing else.

The producer matches it with savoury food as readily as with morning toast, and names cheese and mushrooms. Try it over a slice of Rosary Natural Goat's Cheese Log on a Peter's Yard Original Sourdough Cracker, or add a spoonful to mushrooms fried in butter just before they come off the heat. We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.
