A 300g tin printed with a snowy village scene, holding six kinds of biscuit from Farmhouse Biscuits, baked in Nelson, Lancashire, where the McIvor family moved the bakery in 1978 after starting out in a farmhouse kitchen in 1962.
The six are Gingerbread & White Chocolate Chunk, Christmas Pudding, Maple & Pecan, Cranberry & Oat, Chocolate Chip and Salted Caramel. Between them they use 9% butter, 7% rolled oats, muscovado and demerara sugars, white and dark chocolate, pecans, almonds, dried cranberries, mixed peel, sultanas, cherries, maple syrup, orange and lemon zest and the winter spices. It is the Christmas range of the bakery in one tin, with the spiced and fruited biscuits for the adults and the chocolate chip for the children.
This is the selection tin to open when people call round between Christmas and New Year, with a pot of Taylors tea for the room. It also sends well on its own as a present, and the tin is a keepsake. For a single flavour in a bigger tin there is the Salted Caramel Christmas Tree Tin.
