Duskin Single Variety Gala Apple Juice 1L

Apple juice pressed from Gala apples alone, made by Duskin at Duskin Farm near Faversham in Kent, where the firm has pressed single varieties since it started in 1980. The producer describes a low-tech, low-volume process that keeps each variety separate, and pasteurises the juice in the bottle to preserve the aroma.

There are two ingredients: Gala apple juice and ascorbic acid, which is vitamin C, added to stop the juice browning. Nothing else, no concentrate and no added sugar. The producer's own line is that they take the juice out of an apple and put it in a bottle, so if you like a Gala, this tastes of a Gala. It is a juice to compare against their other varieties rather than a blend built for a standard flavour.

Chill it and drink it with breakfast beside a bowl of Wilton Porridge Oats, or pour it at lunch with a pork pie and a wedge of Quicke's Mature Clothbound Cheddar, where apple and cheese do what they always do. It also makes a good base for a hot mulled apple juice in winter, or a long drink over ice with a splash of Belvoir Elderflower Cordial.

A 1 litre bottle. The ingredient list has nothing from animals, so it suits vegetarians and vegans, and the label declares no allergens. Refrigerate after opening.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
