Cornish Coffee Stupidly Strong Ground Coffee 227g

Stupidly Strong is a dark ground coffee from Cornish Coffee, roasted for maximum strength and depth and blended and packed at Redruth in Cornwall by the family firm behind Cornish Tea, who produce everything at their own factory in the county. A 227g bag.

The only ingredient is coffee: a mix, in the producer's words, of some of the strongest coffees known to man, roasted hard. The producer's own description is toe-curling, eye-watering, volcano-erupting loveliness, a full-throttle blend made for the brave, with a massive caffeine kick. Strip the hyperbole away and it is a deep, dark roast with a lot of body and the roasted, slightly bitter edge that dark coffee should have, and it holds its flavour through a generous splash of milk.

The producer suggests filters and cafetières, and the cafetière is the better route because you can control the steep. It is the coffee for the first cup of the day, for after a large lunch, or for a flask on a cold walk. Dunk a Farmhouse Biscuits Shortbread Rings in it, or serve it after dinner with a square of Chocolarder Asháninka 72% Dark Chocolate. If it is too much, the same roaster's Cornish Coffee The Original Ground Coffee is the gentler option.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
