Chocolarder Asháninka 72% Dark Chocolate
Peruvian rainforest cacao, processed bean to bar on the coast of Cornwall.
A single origin 72% dark chocolate bar, made in Falmouth by Chocolarder from Amazonian Criollo cocoa beans grown by the indigenous Asháninka people of the Ene River Valley, Peru.
Chocolarder partners with Cool Earth, the rainforest preservation charity, to source direct from Asháninka growers. Two ingredients, no emulsifiers. Bean-to-bar in Falmouth since 2012.
Green and red fruit on arrival, shifting through apple peel and raspberry, with a long close of burnt sugar caramel. Sweeter in character than most 72% bars.
Buying this bar contributes directly to the Asháninka's independence and the preservation of the Peruvian Amazon.
