A 200g tin of butter biscuits with strawberry pieces and white chocolate chips, baked by Cartwright & Butler, the Arnett family's bakery at Gilberdyke in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The baker says the idea came from strawberries and cream, and describes a crisp, crumbly biscuit with dried strawberries and chunks of white chocolate. Salted butter is 24% of the recipe, white chocolate chips 13% and strawberry pieces 7%, with natural strawberry flavouring. The strawberry pieces are a fruit preparation made from apple and strawberry purée.
A summer tea biscuit. Put them out with a pot of Tregothnan Red Berry or Tregothnan English Breakfast, or beside a bowl of strawberries. If you prefer raspberry, the same bakery makes Raspberry & White Chocolate Biscuits.
200g of biscuits in the maker's reusable clip-lid tin. Contains wheat (gluten), milk and soya. May contain egg, mustard, nuts, peanuts and sesame seeds. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Once opened, keep airtight and eat within two weeks.
