Tregothnan Red Berry Loose Leaf Tea Pyramids

A fruit infusion of strawberries, raspberries and apple with hibiscus and whole marigold and cornflower petals, blended and packed by Tregothnan at Tresillian, near Truro in Cornwall, from fruit grown in the estate's own gardens in Cornwall and Kent. It comes as fifteen silken cornstarch pyramids in a caddy.

The estate calls it surprisingly complex, with an intense red colour to match a punchy taste: zingy fruit balanced with fresh floral notes. The hibiscus is what gives it that deep colour and a tart edge; the berries and apple carry the fruit; the petals soften the finish. There is no black tea in it, so no caffeine, and no added sugar or flavouring.

Infuse one pyramid for four to five minutes and drink it as it is, or with a spoonful of honey if you want it sweeter. The estate also recommends cold-brewing it overnight in the fridge, which is the better way to drink it in summer: pour over ice with a slice of orange. It is a good match for a plain biscuit such as Farmhouse Biscuits Shortbread Rings, or for the end of a meal when you want something bright rather than heavy.

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
