A 200g tin of butter biscuits with milk chocolate chunks and roasted hazelnuts, baked by Cartwright & Butler, the Arnett family's bakery at Gilberdyke in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Salted butter is 26% of the recipe, milk chocolate chunks 12% and roast flaked hazelnuts 8%, with caster sugar, light brown sugar and whole egg. The baker describes the biscuits as nutty, crumbly and buttery, laden with chunks of milk chocolate and roasted flaked hazelnuts. The milk chocolate has a minimum of 25% cocoa solids.
They suit coffee as well as tea. Try them with a pot of Cornish Coffee The Original, or with a mug of Charbonnel et Walker Milk Chocolat Charbonnel on a cold afternoon. The same bakery's Milk Chocolate Chunk Biscuits come in the same style of tin.
