Brown Bag Crisps Aberdeen Angus Beef & Onion 40g

Hand-cooked beef and onion crisps in a 40g bag, seasoned with Aberdeen Angus beef powder and onion. Brown Bag Crisps make them in Cullompton, Devon, frying sliced potatoes in rapeseed oil and finishing them with an 8% seasoning.

Onion leads the seasoning, followed by rice flour, yeast extract, salt and garlic, then caramelised sugar, black pepper, cinnamon, fennel seeds and thyme, with the Aberdeen Angus beef powder at the end of the list. The producer describes succulent roast beef with tangy onion and calls it a punchy, classic flavour. The pepper, fennel and thyme give it more of a roast-dinner character than a standard beef crisp, and the sweet onion is easy to pick out. It won a Great Taste star in 2024.

Put a bag beside a beef sandwich with a smear of Stokes Creamed Horseradish, or open one on a Sunday afternoon with a bottle of beer. They also sit well on a snack board with Billy Franks Hot N Spicy Beef Jerky and a pot of Tracklements Strong English Mustard.
