Stokes make their creamed horseradish at the Old Stable in Rendlesham, Suffolk using real horseradish root, a decision that produces an immediate and significant difference from the stabilised, diluted versions that most supermarkets stock. The heat is clean and direct, the root character is present and genuine, and the cream adds richness without obscuring what makes horseradish worth eating.

With roast beef it is the traditional and correct accompaniment, and this version makes the combination feel like the occasion it should be. With smoked salmon it does something unexpected and rather brilliant.

English-made in Rendlesham, Suffolk. Vegetarian and gluten-free. From a Suffolk producer who uses the actual ingredient rather than a flavouring that approximates it. 200g.

Delivery

Because we send food and drink, we keep transit times short and never let parcels sit in depots over the weekend. All orders are dispatched Monday to Thursday and delivered next day via DPD or APC Overnight, depending on contents.

Non-liquid orders travel with DPD and include a one-hour delivery window, so you know exactly when to expect your parcel. Orders containing wine, spirits or other liquids are sent via APC Overnight's specialist liquid service, where parcels are hand-sorted and kept in dedicated cages throughout transit.

Order by 12pm (midday) for next-day delivery. Orders placed after midday on Thursday, or over the weekend, are dispatched the following Monday. We do not deliver on Saturdays or Sundays.

Standard delivery is £6.95, free on orders over £60.

Returns

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging, and affected item as received.

Please keep all packaging until we have reviewed the issue, as we may be unable to assess damage claims where the item or packaging has been discarded.
