Angel Artisan Hot Sauce

Angel is Big Ginger Sauce Co's best seller, and a sound place to begin if scotch bonnet is new territory for you. Made in Surrey, it opens with aroma before anything else: tamarind and garlic, sweet and sour, with warm mixed spice settling underneath.

The heat is a steady everyday medium rather than anything that demands courage, the scotch bonnets lending fruit as much as fire.

It earns its keep at the table as a dipping sauce, and brushes beautifully onto chicken over coals. The 150ml bottle holds enough to become a fixture by the fridge door rather than a novelty pushed to the back of a cupboard.

A run of awards sits behind it, including a Great Taste two-star and a National Chilli Awards silver, though the bottle rather makes its own case once opened.

Delivery

Because we send food and drink, we keep transit times short and never let parcels sit in depots over the weekend. All orders are dispatched Monday to Thursday and delivered next day via DPD or APC Overnight, depending on contents.

Non-liquid orders travel with DPD and include a one-hour delivery window, so you know exactly when to expect your parcel. Orders containing wine, spirits or other liquids are sent via APC Overnight's specialist liquid service, where parcels are hand-sorted and kept in dedicated cages throughout transit.

Order by 12pm (midday) for next-day delivery. Orders placed after midday on Thursday, or over the weekend, are dispatched the following Monday. We do not deliver on Saturdays or Sundays.

Standard delivery is £4.95, free on orders over £50.

Returns

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging, and affected item as received.

Please keep all packaging until we have reviewed the issue, as we may be unable to assess damage claims where the item or packaging has been discarded.
