Tregothnan English Breakfast Tea Tin 15 Pyramid Bags

A tin of fifteen English Breakfast pyramid bags from Tregothnan, the Cornish family estate that has nurtured rare plants since 1334 and grew the first tea in the UK in 1999. The blend uses leaves from the widest variety ever grown in England, blended with Assam.

The estate describes it as bold, malty and rich. The leaf comes from some of the 38 Camellia sinensis varieties gifted to Tregothnan by growers around the world at the end of the last millennium. Each pyramid holds loose leaf tea in a silken pouch made from cornstarch, which is plastic-free and biodegradable.

Brew one pyramid in water at 95 degrees for three to four minutes, with milk if you like, and sweeten to taste. Put it with toast and Mrs Darlington's Medium Cut Orange Marmalade. The same blend is also sold as a box: Tregothnan English Breakfast Loose Leaf Tea Pyramids.
