Miller's Harvest Three Nut Crackers 125g

A square wholemeal cracker with three kinds of nut, hand-baked by Miller's at a family bakery in Ashbourne in Derbyshire that has been going for more than a hundred years. It is part of the Harvest range, alongside the Three Fruit Crackers.

The baker makes it with stoneground wholemeal flour, hazelnuts, walnuts and almonds. Stoneground wholemeal is 52% of the dough, with wheat flour, corn oil, roasted flaked hazelnuts, flaked almonds, ground walnuts, salt and a little malt extract. The roasted hazelnuts do most of the talking, the ground walnuts sit in the background, and the flaked almonds give the surface its crunch. The maker describes it as moving the humble cracker in a new direction.

Nuts and blue cheese are an old pairing, and this cracker was made for a wedge of Butlers Blacksticks Blue or a Stilton with a glass of port. It also suits an aged, crystalline cheese, a mature cheddar with a little honey, or a soft goat's cheese with a drizzle of the same.

A 125g box. Contains gluten from wheat and barley, and hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts. Contains no animal products according to the ingredient list.
