Fentimans
In 1905 Thomas Fentiman, an iron puddler from Cleckheaton, took a ginger beer recipe as security for a loan that was never repaid. He sold the ginger beer door to door from a horse and cart, in stone jars known as grey hens. The drinks are still botanically brewed, with the infusion running for at least seven days and tasted every 12 hours.
