Little's French Vanilla Flavour Instant Coffee

A 50g jar of French vanilla flavoured instant coffee from Little's in Willand, Devon, where the family makes every jar in its own factory from freeze-dried Arabica coffee infused with flavour and nothing else.

Two ingredients: freeze-dried coffee and French vanilla flavouring. No sugar, no sweeteners, no milk powder, so a cup comes in at 4 calories before you add anything. The maker describes the coffee as smooth and rich Arabica, gently infused, and the vanilla as simple and classic; it is a warm, rounded vanilla rather than a sweet-shop one, and the coffee stays in charge.

Make it the way the jar says: one to two teaspoons in a mug, a splash of hot water to dissolve the granules, then top up with hot water, warm milk, or cold milk and ice for an iced latte. It is a coffee for mid-afternoon rather than first thing, with a couple of Kent & Fraser Lemon Butter Shortbread or one of the Farmhouse Biscuits Shortbread Rings. It also makes a good after-dinner cup for people who do not want sugar.

Delivery

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids.
