Farmhouse Biscuits Milk Chocolate Chip Biscuits in Flying Santa Tin 225g

A 225g Christmas tin with Santa and his sleigh flying over the lid, filled with milk chocolate chip biscuits from Farmhouse Biscuits, baked in Nelson, Lancashire, where the McIvor family moved the bakery in 1978 after starting out in a farmhouse kitchen in 1962.

The biscuit is a crunchy one: wheat flour, vegetable oils and sugar with 12% milk chocolate chips, soft brown sugar for a caramel note, and free range egg. The chocolate chips are real milk chocolate with whole milk powder and cocoa butter rather than a coating. It is the biscuit children go for first in a selection, and the tin is sized for a child, or for one adult who does not intend to share.

Open it on Christmas Eve with a glass of milk, or leave it under the tree; the tin outlasts the biscuits. For something to go with it, the Little's Creamy Caramel Instant Coffee jar is the same shape of present for the grown-ups, and the larger Christmas Tree Tin from the same bakery feeds a houseful.
