Farmhouse Biscuits Christmas Pudding Biscuits in Red Triangle Tin 200g

A 200g red triangular tin of Christmas pudding biscuits from Farmhouse Biscuits, baked in Nelson, Lancashire, where the McIvor family moved the bakery in 1978 after starting out in a farmhouse kitchen in 1962.

The biscuit takes the fruit and spice of a pudding and bakes it into a crisp butter biscuit: 11% salted butter with 5% mixed peel, 4% sultanas, 3% cherry pieces, 3% dried cranberries, 3% nibbed almonds, orange and lemon zest, free range egg and cinnamon. It is fruited rather than heavy, so it eats like a festive biscuit and not like a slice of pudding, and the triangle tin stands up on a shelf like a slice of cake.

A tin for the person who likes Christmas pudding but not a whole one, and a neat shape for a stocking. Serve them with a mug of Little's Christmas Spirit coffee, which has the same orange and spice, or crumble one over vanilla ice cream.
