Mrs Darlington's Legendary Lemon Curd

Mrs Darlington's make their lemon curd in Skipton, North Yorkshire, using whole eggs and real butter, the two ingredients that separate proper lemon curd from the cornstarch-set, artificial-flavoured alternatives that most people encounter first and assume represent the category.

The result is bright and sharp, with the kind of acidity that makes your mouth do something involuntary before the sweetness catches up. Thick enough to hold on a knife, glossy in the way that egg-and-butter curds always are, and genuinely lemony. Excellent on toast, essential in a lemon tart, and very good indeed straight from the jar when nobody is watching.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.
