A strong, smooth everyday black tea in 40 foil-wrapped bags. Cornish Tea Co., who blend, pack and send everything from their own factory in Redruth, Cornwall, have made Smugglers Brew since 2012, and it was the blend that started the company.

The ingredient list is one line: 100% black tea. The maker describes it as honest, full-flavoured black tea, loved for its smooth taste and proper strength, and made for everyday drinking. It brews dark and quickly, takes milk well and does not turn thin or bitter if the bag sits a little too long. Nothing flavoured, nothing fancy, which is the point.

This is the morning pot and the four o'clock cup. Have it with a Farmhouse Biscuits shortbread ring or a slice of toast with Mrs Darlington's Legendary Lemon Curd, or make it the base of a builder's brew for anyone working in the garden. It goes into hampers and welcome baskets well, and the rest of our teas and coffees are here if you want a gentler blend alongside it.

Delivery

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
