Chococo Full of Beans 47% Milk Chocolate Bar

Full of Beans is a 75g bar of 47% Colombia origin milk chocolate scattered with mini milk chocolate beans in natural colours. Chococo make it in Swanage, Dorset, where Claire and Andy Burnet started the business in December 2002 in a small backstreet unit and still make everything themselves.

The base is the maker's signature milk chocolate, produced for them at origin from Fino de Aroma cocoa grown in the Huila, Tumaco and Santander regions of Colombia, and it won a Gold Great Taste Award in 2023. The producer describes it as rich and creamy. The beans are milk chocolate too, with a crisp shell coloured by beetroot, curcumin and other plant extracts rather than synthetic dyes, so each square breaks with a little crunch.

This is a bar for children and for adults who never grew out of milk chocolate. Put one in a birthday parcel, break it over a bowl of ice cream, or pair it with something darker for contrast, such as the Delightful Dark 72% bar or a square of Pump Street Sourdough and Sea Salt. It also sits well beside a cup from the tea and coffee collection in the afternoon.

The bar weighs 75g and comes in a paper pouch inside a cardboard box, with no plastic. It contains milk and may contain traces of gluten, tree nuts and soya, so it is not suitable for anyone with those allergies. Keep it cool and dry.
