Description

A box of milk and dark chocolate truffles under a Union Jack lid, made by Charbonnel et Walker, the London chocolatiers who have hand-made chocolates to the recipes of Madame Charbonnel since 1875, when the firm opened on Bond Street. There is no alcohol in any of them, which makes the box safe to give to anyone.

The maker names the truffles in the selection as milk sea salt caramel, dark sea salt caramel, pistachio, strawberry, Billionaire's and a dark chocolate truffle finished with edible gold leaf. The ingredient list backs that up: salted caramel, pistachio and hazelnuts, real strawberries, biscuit pieces, and a white chocolate shell on some. So there is a run from sweet and creamy milk pieces through salted caramel to the plain dark truffle, and enough variety that two people working through the box will not want the same one.

It is a gift box first. Take it as a present to a dinner, send it abroad to someone homesick, or open it with coffee after a Sunday lunch. A pot of Tregothnan English Breakfast in the afternoon suits the milk truffles; the dark ones want Cornish Coffee Stupidly Strong.

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

Returns
