Description

A 700g iced Christmas fruit cake in a round tin, baked by Cartwright & Butler, the Arnett family's bakery at Gilberdyke in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Sultanas are 34% of the cake and marzipan 13%, with 5% dark rum and 4% cherries, butter, whole egg and black treacle. The recipe also includes sugar paste, fondant icing and apricot jam, and the baker states that the palm oil used is sustainably sourced.

A round iced cake for the Christmas tea table, with a pot of Tregothnan English Breakfast or Cornish Tea Co. Smugglers Brew. It is the size for a family gathering, and the tin makes it easy to wrap.
