A 200g tin of butter biscuits with pecans, maple syrup and dark chocolate chunks, baked by Cartwright & Butler, the Arnett family's bakery at Gilberdyke in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Salted butter is 24% of the recipe, pecan nuts 7%, dark chocolate chunks 6% and maple syrup 2%, with light brown sugar and maple flavouring. The baker describes a warm maple sweetness, buttery richness and a pecan crunch, finished with dark chocolate chunks, and presents the biscuits in a pastel green clip-lid tin.
The baker suggests dipping them in a hot cup of tea. Maple and pecan lean towards coffee too, so try them with Cornish Coffee The Original, or with a mug of Pump Street Drinking Chocolate.
