Black Bee Honey British Spring

Black Bee Honey British Spring is a raw, soft set spring honey from Black Bee Honey, a B Corp certified honey company based in Somerset that buys from named beekeepers rather than blending, and does not heat its honey. Each jar is single-source, with the beekeeper and apiary location printed on the label.

The bees forage it from rapeseed, hawthorn and plum blossom in Somerset, Yorkshire and Northumbria. The producer describes it as a creamy honey with a light, sweet flavour, and the soft set is what spring rapeseed honey does naturally: it crystallises fine and smooth rather than coarse, so it spreads like butter. Because it is raw and unprocessed it may set further over time; warm the jar gently to loosen it.

The producer's suggestion is morning toast and baking, and it is the honey for both. Spread it thickly on hot toast or a crumpet, stir it into porridge made with Wilton Porridge Oats, or sweeten a cup of Dorset Tea Ginger & Lemon Herbal Infusion with it. On a cheeseboard, it goes with a blue such as Long Clawson Blue Stilton.

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
