Belvoir Ginger Beer Can 330ml

A ginger beer in a 330ml can, made by Belvoir on their family farm in Bottesford, Leicestershire, where the ginger is chopped in big batches, boiled for a day and infused with fresh spring water before it goes anywhere near a can.

The ingredient list is short: carbonated spring water, sugar, a fresh root ginger infusion, pressed ginger juice, pressed lemon juice and ginger extracts. The farm describes it as fresh and fiery, made with real, spicy ginger, and that is how it drinks. The heat comes from the root itself, the lemon keeps it sharp, and there is nothing artificial in it. It comes in at 56 kcal a can, which counts as low calorie.

Drink it cold on its own, straight from the can or over ice with a wedge of lime. It is also the mixer the farm suggests for vodka, whisky or rum, so a measure of The One Fine Blended Whisky topped up with this makes a proper long drink, and a dark rum turns it into a Dark and Stormy. Take a few to a picnic with a bag of Brown Bag Crisps Sea Salt & Malt Vinegar and it does the job of a beer without the alcohol.

330ml can, non-alcoholic, no allergens declared and suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Keep it in the fridge so it is cold when you want it.
