The One Fine Blended Whisky

A blended whisky from England's Lake District, with The Lakes Single Malt at its heart.

Distilled, blended and bottled at The Lakes Distillery in Bassenthwaite, Cumbria, opened in 2014 inside a converted Victorian model farm in the Lake District National Park. The maturation warehouses sit in a microclimate cooler and damper than most of England, which draws slower, gentler interactions between whisky and oak.

The blend is the work of whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi, formerly of Macallan, who brought to Cumbria a sherry-leaning, methodical approach to cask selection. The One sits at the foundation of his collection, the signature release that all his cask-finished editions build from.

On the nose: orchard fruits, butterscotch, a hint of smoke. On the palate: vanilla custard, lightly honeyed fruits, a touch of spice. The finish is rich, warming, faintly spiced.

Bottled at 46.6% ABV. Non-chill filtered for a richer mouthfeel and fuller flavour. at natural colour, using only the hues drawn from oak.

Drink neat, on the rocks, with a splash of water, or in a highball with ginger ale.

Delivery

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
