Two Farmers Hereford Bullshot Crisps 40g

Hand-cooked crisps seasoned with spice and Hereford beef, after the bullshot, the old beef-consomme-and-spice pick-me-up. Two Farmers, who grow, slice and fry their own potatoes at Peterstow in Herefordshire, cook them in small batches and pack them in a bag that goes in the compost.

The potatoes are the farm's own Lady Claire, Lady Rosetta and Taurus varieties, chosen for how well they fry, cooked in high-oleic sunflower oil. The seasoning is built on yeast extract, paprika, cayenne, black pepper, onion and a little sugar, finished with Hereford beef extract. The maker describes them as gently seasoned with spices and the flavour of Hereford beef: a savoury, peppery crisp with a low background heat from the cayenne. No artificial flavours, colours or preservatives, and the maker lists them as gluten-free.

They belong with a pint, or with a Bloody Mary on a Sunday, where the beef and pepper echo the drink. Tip them into a bowl next to a jar of Tracklements Sweet Mustard Ketchup for dipping, or serve them with a Billy Franks Hot N Spicy Beef Jerky for a very meaty snack plate. Not vegetarian.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
