The Garlic Farm Vampire Slayer Seriously Hot Chilli Sauce 162g

A seriously hot garlic and chilli sauce from The Garlic Farm at Newchurch on the Isle of Wight, where the Boswell family have grown garlic in the Arreton Valley for more than fifty years.

Cayenne chilli puree makes up 15% of the bottle, with dried chilli and a 0.2% dose of chilli oleoresin on top, which is where the real heat comes from. Around it there is garlic, caramelised onion, lime juice, smoked paprika, oregano and brown sugar, so it tastes of something as well as burning. The maker's own line is very deadly, seriously hot, totally addictive, and the first two are not exaggerated.

A few drops in a chilli, a curry or a bloody mary is enough, and a drop on a cheese toastie wakes it up; the bottle has a narrow neck for a reason. It is a good present for the hot sauce collector who thinks they have tried everything, and sits well in a hamper with the same farm's milder Garlic and Chilli Mayonnaise.
