Taylors Loose Leaf Green Tea with Jasmine is a 125g pack of green tea scented with jasmine. Taylors of Harrogate blend it in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, where the family business has been established since 1886 and describes its approach as doing things properly, without shortcuts.

The ingredient list is green tea scented with jasmine, so the flavour comes from the flowers and the leaf rather than from added flavouring. Green tea is lighter and greener in the cup than black tea, and jasmine adds a floral scent on top. Treat it gently: use water that has come off the boil and cooled for a minute or two, about one teaspoon of leaf per cup, and two to three minutes. Too hot or too long and green tea turns bitter.

Drink it without milk, in the afternoon or after a meal. It suits lighter food: a bowl of noodles, steamed fish, or a plate of Kent & Fraser Lemon Butter Shortbread. If you like a scented cup, the Tregothnan Lemon Verbena and Summerdown Peppermint and Chamomile are the next ones to try.
