Tregothnan Lemon Verbena Loose Leaf Tea Pyramids

Sale price£10.00

A clean, citrus-bright herbal tea — sharp lemon up front, soft and grassy underneath. Made entirely from lemon verbena leaves grown in the Tregothnan estate gardens, in the same Cornish microclimate that produced England's first tea in 1999.

A caffeine-free infusion in fifteen biodegradable silken pyramids, made and packed in Tresillian, Cornwall by Tregothnan — England's pioneering tea estate, tended by the same family since 1334.

Lemon verbena (Aloysia citrodora) is a tender perennial native to South America, brought to England in the eighteenth century. It thrives in the warmer corners of the south-west and has become one of the standout botanicals in Tregothnan's gardens. The leaves are picked and dried with the same care as the estate's tea, then cut for infusion.

The pyramids are biodegradable, made from cornstarch — plastic-free.

Brew with freshly boiled water for four to five minutes. No milk, no sugar needed. Excellent after dinner; equally good iced on a warm afternoon. Said to aid digestion and settle the stomach.

England's pioneering tea estate, still grown and packed by the family who started it.
