A box of 20 teabags across four caffeine-free infusions from Taylors of Harrogate, blended in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, by the Yorkshire family business established in 1886: Lemon & Ginger, Blackberry & Raspberry, Pure Chamomile and Pure Peppermint.
Lemon & Ginger is 37% ginger with apple, lemongrass, lemon peel and galangal, and it has a proper kick. Blackberry & Raspberry is hibiscus and apple with blackberry and blackcurrant leaves and liquorice root, so it brews a deep red. Chamomile and Peppermint are single ingredients, 100% each. None of them contains tea, so none has caffeine, and there is no sugar in any of them.
Boiling water and four to five minutes; longer for the ginger if you want more heat. The peppermint is the one for after a heavy meal, the chamomile for the end of the evening, and the two fruit ones for anyone who wants something with flavour but no caffeine in the afternoon. It pairs with the Assorted Black Speciality Teas box to cover a houseful of guests, and it goes into a hamper for someone who does not drink coffee.
