Stokes Habanero Chilli Mayonnaise 300g

A mayonnaise made with fermented red habanero chillies and fragrant coriander, mixed in small batches by Stokes at the Old Stables kitchens of Rendlesham Hall in Rendlesham, Suffolk, where the firm has made its mayonnaise since 2004.

Rapeseed oil makes up 79% of the jar and free-range pasteurised whole egg 13%, with 3% red habanero chilli purée, unrefined raw cane sugar, lemon juice, tomato purée, sea salt, herbs and mustard flour. The producer's own words are rich, creamy, packed with heat, with a bold, spicy kick. The habanero brings the heat, the lemon and tomato keep it bright, and the egg and oil give it enough body to carry both.

The producer suggests using it to pep up a sandwich, or mixing it with cold water prawns for a spicy seafood cocktail. It also works as a dip for chips or roasted vegetables, spread inside a fish finger sandwich, or spooned over a burger. Put it out next to their Garlic Mayonnaise for a milder option, or with a plate of Snaffling Pig Hot to Trot Habanero Pork Crackling if you want heat on heat.

A 300g jar. Vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free according to the producer. Contains egg and mustard. Refrigerate once opened.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
