Mr Trotter's Crackling & Ale Gift Box

Two bottles of Mr Trotter's Chestnut Ale and two bags of triple cooked pork crackling in a kraft gift box, from Mr Trotter's, the company started in 2011 by Tom Parker Bowles, Matthew Fort and Rupert Ponsonby with scratchings maker Graham Jebb of RayGray Snacks in Rugeley, Staffordshire.

The crackling is 95% pork rind, cooked three times so it comes out lighter and crisper than a pub scratching, one bag Original and one Jalapeño. The ale is a 4% ruby bitter brewed for Mr Trotter's by Lancaster Brewery in Lancashire with sweet chestnuts, Maris Otter malt and English Cascade and Bramling Cross hops, which the brewery says is the only chestnut beer brewed in the UK. Together they are the pub snack and the pint, boxed.

It is a present for the man who says he does not want anything. Put it next to the television for the Boxing Day football, or add it to a hamper with a jar of Boxing Day Chutney and a pork pie.

Two 500ml bottles at 4% ABV and two 50g bags. Allergens: the crackling contains wheat and soya; the ale contains barley (gluten). Contains alcohol, so you must be over 18 to buy it and a signature is needed on delivery.
