Lottie Shaw's Traditional Fruit Cake

A traditional fruit cake from Lottie Shaw's, baked in Brighouse, West Yorkshire to a family recipe. It is packed with currants, sultanas, raisins and cherries, and the maker bakes it without alcohol or nuts.

Each cake is hand wrapped and presented in a card box. In Yorkshire it is eaten with a cup of tea and a slice of cheese, so it works well alongside a wedge from the cheese counter. The maker gives it a minimum shelf life of 6 months from baking.

Allergens: wheat (gluten), milk, egg and sulphites (sulphur dioxide). The bakery handles dairy products and nuts, and this cake contains no alcohol or nuts.
