Hawkshead Relish 3 Jar Christmas Gift Wrap

Three of the small La'al jars from Hawkshead Relish, stacked, hand wrapped in cellophane and tied with a raffia bow, one for each stage of the holiday: Christmas Chutney, Boxing Day Chutney and New Year Relish. Made in Hawkshead, Cumbria, in the Lake District.

The Christmas Chutney is a rich dried apricot chutney with cranberries, orange and ginger for the turkey and the cheeseboard. The Boxing Day Chutney is a gentler gingered apple and sultana chutney for the cold cuts. The New Year Relish is a chunky, salsa style relish of tomatoes, onions, red peppers, courgette and sweetcorn with garlic and a little chilli, meant for the week when everyone wants vegetables again. The maker suggests it on pizza, in pasta or stirred through a bolognese.

The maker calls it a stocking filler, and it is ready wrapped, so it works as a present on its own or as the centrepiece of a hamper. All three jars are gluten free and vegan.

Three glass jars: 120g Christmas Chutney, 110g Boxing Day Chutney and 110g New Year Relish, 340g in total. No major allergens declared in any of the three; the Christmas Chutney may contain traces of fruit stone.
