Gusto Organic Real Cola 275ml

An organic cola made with kola nut, spring water and agave rather than sugar syrup, from Gusto Organic, who bottle it at Aldermaston in Berkshire and build the drink from organic citrus and spice extracts instead of a flavour concentrate. It is a cola for people who stopped drinking the ordinary kind.

Spring water comes first, then 12% agave nectar for sweetness, caramel from burnt sugar for colour, lemon juice, kola nut extract and vanilla. The aromatics are essential oils of lemon, orange, lime, neroli, cinnamon and coriander. The maker says the kola nut brings a gentle bitterness that balances the agave, giving a cola with real depth, balance and character. In the glass that reads as less sweet than a supermarket cola, with more citrus and spice and a drier finish. Kola nut carries a little natural caffeine.

Drink it cold from the bottle, or pour it over ice with a wedge of lime. It makes a better rum and cola than most mixers, and a cuba libre with a squeeze of lime is where it earns its keep. It is also the bottle to put out for guests who are not drinking, alongside Fentimans Victorian Lemonade and the rest of the soft drinks.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
