Craft & Crumb Gingerbread House Bake & Craft Kit 800g

Everything needed to bake and build a gingerbread house, from Craft & Crumb in Hampton, south west London, who make baking kits that double as a craft afternoon for children aged three to twelve.

The box holds the gingerbread mix (you add butter and golden syrup), icing sugar for the cement, marshmallows, candy rings, candy canes and dolly mixture for the roof and garden, piping bags, a gingerbread man cutter, the house templates and a craft sign for the front door. It bakes one large house plus a tray of gingerbread men, and the printed gift box has a carry handle, so it wraps itself.

It is a present for the week before Christmas, when the house gets built, decorated, photographed and slowly eaten. The smaller Snowman Biscuit Kit from the same maker suits a younger child or a shorter afternoon.
