Craft & Crumb Snowman Bake & Craft Kit 360g

A build a snowman biscuit kit from Craft & Crumb of Hampton in south west London, made for children aged three to twelve to bake, decorate and then dress.

Inside are a gingerbread mix (add butter, honey and a splash of milk or water), icing sugar, a black icing pen, mini chocolate beans, white pearl sprinkles, a piping bag and the snowman templates. The templates make four large snowman puzzle biscuits plus a batch of smaller snowballs, and once they have cooled the craft half of the box takes over: a paper scarf, hat, buttons and accessories to dress each one, so no two come out the same.

It is a short, cheerful afternoon's work for a wet day in the holidays, and a good stocking present for a child who likes to be in the kitchen. The bigger project from the same maker is the Gingerbread House Kit.

360g kit. Allergens: wheat (gluten), milk and barley. The maker says it may be made in a factory that handles nuts, that it is egg free but not dairy free, and does not list it as suitable for vegetarians. Adult supervision recommended.
