Chococo Glorious Ginger 72% Dark Chocolate Bar

Glorious Ginger is a 75g bar of 72% Ecuador origin dark chocolate studded with diced crystallised ginger. Chococo make it in Swanage, Dorset, where the Burnet family have made chocolate since 2002 and had this dark chocolate produced for them by their direct trade partners Martinetti Cocoa in Ecuador.

The chocolate, 93.3% of the bar, comes from Arriba cocoa grown at Hacienda Zoilita, a 200-hectare family farm in Los Rios province, bought with no middlemen. It is made from cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter and sunflower lecithin, so there is no milk or soya. The crystallised ginger, 6.7%, is just ginger and sugar; the producer describes it as spicy and aromatic against the dark chocolate, a classic pairing.

Eat it after dinner with coffee, or with a glass of The Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve. Chopped, it lifts a ginger cake or a bowl of poached pears. Anyone who likes ginger will also enjoy Mrs Darlington's Orange and Ginger Marmalade on the same shelf.

The bar weighs 75g and comes in a recyclable paper pouch inside a cardboard box, with no plastic. The producer lists it as plant-based and vegan-friendly, and the ingredient list has no milk, nuts or soya. Keep it cool and dry.

Delivery

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
