Cartwright & Butler Afternoon Tea & Biscuit Selection Tin

A 390g tin holding English Breakfast tea and two kinds of biscuit from Cartwright & Butler, baked in Gilberdyke, Brough, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, with salted butter, dark chocolate and free range pasteurised egg.

The tea is 100% black tea, a straightforward breakfast blend. The chocolate brownie biscuits are 21% dark chocolate chips and a further 18% dark chocolate in the dough, with salted butter, soft brown sugar and cocoa, so they are dark and rich rather than sweet. The oat biscuits are 46% rolled oats and 28% salted butter with salted caramel pieces, which makes them crumbly, buttery and salty at the edges. Nothing in either recipe is artificial.

This is the tin to give someone who would rather have tea and biscuits than chocolates. Brew the tea properly, put the biscuits on a plate, and add a jar of Mrs Darlington's Legendary Lemon Curd and some scones if you are making an afternoon of it. The oat biscuit goes with a strong cup of tea; the brownie biscuit is better with coffee after dinner. Other food gifts sit alongside it if you are building a parcel.

Delivery

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
