Tracklements Mango & Chilli Chutney

Tracklements have made this chutney at Easton Grey in Wiltshire, where they have built a name for English-made condiments since 1970. Ripe mango makes up almost half the jar, cooked down with sugar cane vinegar, salt and ginger until soft and golden. Cumin and coriander seeds are gently roasted first, then fresh chillies are stirred through for a warm, lip-tingling heat that settles rather than overwhelms.

The result is sweet and fruity, with mellow spice and a loose, spoonable set. Each jar holds 275g.

Stir a generous spoonful through a curry, spread it across a cheese sandwich, or serve it beside cold ham and a sharp Cheddar. It sits well next to grilled chicken or a plate of poppadoms too. Gluten free and suitable for vegans. Keep it in the fridge once opened.
