Chocolarder Milk Chocolate Truffles, 175g

Milk chocolate truffles with a soft ganache centre, made by Chocolarder at Falmouth in Cornwall from cocoa grown at Öko Caribe in the Dominican Republic.

The shell is the maker's 50% milk chocolate, ground from the bean rather than bought in. Inside is a ganache that softens at room temperature, and the outside is rolled in Chocolarder's own pressed cocoa powder, so they arrive matt and dusty rather than glossy. The maker's tasting notes are mellow cocoa, warm caramel and roasted nuts. Coconut oil in the centre is what keeps the texture yielding.

Serve with coffee after a meal. A 175g box stands on its own as a gift or goes into a hamper alongside the rest of the confectionery collection.
