Black Bee Honey Raw British Hot Honey

A drizzle of warmth over a pizza, a wedge of cheese, a piece of fried chicken: hot honey has become the condiment that quietly makes everything better.

A 227g jar of raw English wildflower honey infused with red habanero chilli mash, made in Frome, Somerset by Black Bee Honey. The chillies come from a farm a few miles down the road. The honey itself is single-source, with the beekeeper's name and apiary location printed on every jar, as with all Black Bee honeys.

The recipe is restrained: 99% honey, 1% habanero mash. Just enough to bring fruity, rounded heat through the sweetness without overpowering it. A medium burn, confident rather than aggressive. The kind of warmth that makes you go back for another spoonful to confirm what you tasted.

For drizzling over pizza, halloumi fries, fried chicken, sharp cheese, ricotta on toast, or a hot honey burger. Equally at home in a marinade, a stir-fry sauce, or stirred into a hot toddy on a cold night.

Black Bee was founded by Paul and Chris, who met in an office and ended up keeping bees on London rooftops together. The company is B Corp certified, a Living Wage Employer and carbon-neutral, with two percent of turnover going to wildflower meadow restoration via Plantlife, with over twenty acres planted to date.

Delivery

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
