Chocolarder Dark Chocolate Almonds, 200g

Italian almonds coated in dark chocolate and dusted with cocoa powder, made by Chocolarder at Falmouth in Cornwall.

Almonds make up 40% of the box. They are lightly salted, then panned in dark chocolate Chocolarder grind themselves from the bean, and finished with a dusting of the maker's own pressed cocoa powder, which is what gives them a matt surface rather than a shine. The salt is the thing that makes them hard to leave alone: it cuts the sweetness and brings the almond forward.

Put them in a bowl with drinks, or serve them alongside coffee at the end of a meal. A 200g box works as a gift on its own or in a hamper from the confectionery collection.
