Pip and Nut Crunchy Almond Butter

Two ingredients. Almonds and a sprinkle of sea salt. That's it.

A 225g jar of crunchy almond butter from Pip & Nut, the London-founded B Corp set up by Pip Murray in 2013 from her kitchen table when she was training for marathons and couldn't find a clean nut butter she actually wanted to eat.

The almonds are Californian: short, plump kernels selected from four out of fifty varieties, chosen for the rounded nutty flavour they take on when roasted. Ground until the butter is thick and spoonable, then folded with crunchy almond pieces. Almonds make up 99.6% of what's in the jar. The other 0.4% is sea salt.

No palm oil. No added sugar. No emulsifiers. The oil separates naturally, so give the jar a stir before you use it.

Stir into porridge. Spread on sourdough toast. Swirl through Greek yoghurt with sliced banana. Bake into cookies. Or eat it straight from the jar with a spoon, which is the producer's own stated preference.

A source of protein, fibre and vitamin E. High in monounsaturated fats, the same family as those found in olive oil and avocados.

B Corp certified. Carbon-neutral as a company. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Naturally gluten-free.

Refrigerate after opening; consume within three months.

We send food and drink, so parcels never wait in depots over the weekend. Order by midday, Monday to Thursday, for next-day delivery: DPD with a one-hour window for most orders, APC Overnight's specialist liquid service for anything containing wine, spirits or other liquids. Orders after midday Thursday, or over the weekend, dispatch on Monday.

Cheese is cut fresh to order and sent chilled, dispatched every Monday and Wednesday. Everything in your order ships together in one insulated box, arriving the next day.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, missing an item, or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the affected item. Please keep all packaging until we've reviewed the issue.
